I know Heim needs a break but couldn't we find a catcher who could at least hit his body weight?
I thought this might be the year Huff actually get a real chance in the bigs, guess not.

This series ended up being very disappointing.
No obese Framber. No Verlander. We even got to face a kid who was totally out of his element and overmatched.
All we could muster is 2 wins. On top of that, when we got the first 2 wins it seems like we just propped up our damn feet and stopped hitting the ball hard.
I was ok with a split coming into the series, but with the pitching we faced and starting out winning the first 2. It just leaves a nasty taste in your mouth.

And if not that, a guy like Hedges that is entertaining from the dugout.

I am an Astros' fan, but I live in Round Rock. Even after the continuous flips of the Round Rock Express, we continue to go to games every year, no matter who the team is associated with. Sam Huff has a monster bat and I can't figure out why he isn't on the 40 man for the Rangers.

He's been up in spurts but has never really been given a real opportunity. Personally, I would've liked to see him backup Jonah but the front office had other plans.
Underperformed unfortunately.gigem1223 said:
Split with Houston. Many of us said we'd take that going into the series. On to Oakland.

I have seen Sam jack a homerun 500 feet to center, he just crushes the ball. I haven't noticed anything glaring with his catching abilities, either. My wife's uncle made it to AAA, I am friends with Jordan Danks and some other ex-MLB players. You would be shocked by the politics and the control/money issues involved with some of these decisions.
Jordan hit a walk-off HR for the White Sox and he was sent back down the next day. He told me any time he hit a HR, they were sending him back down.
I am wondering if it's some fit issue, money/control issue, when it comes to Sam?

Somehow missed this, but Foscue to the IL with an oblique strain. Wendzel was called up in his place.

I don't disagree with you. However, he won't be Arb eligible until 2026, so he still has some time.
When guys like Sandler talk about Jung, they say he has aspirations to be one of the greatest 3B and he puts the work in to show it.
At some point, you have to believe he'll have an injury free season. If he put it together, he may still get paid.
The LAD didn't want to pay Seager because of his history of injury. Many thought the Rangers were crazy for signing Seager. Now, they haven't been wrong, per se... but we did ride him to a WS Championship.
Hoping Jung can get back soon.
