So on to baseball….
At this point, is there anybody in the A.L. that scares you, as in "I wouldn't want to face them in the playoffs!"
I really can't say there is - although the NYY owned us early on, we are a Completely different team today. I feel really good about getting back to the ALCS and then some.
There's a law of averages concern I have with the yankees. We've owned them for a decade. At some point that will come to an end and we've faced each other a lot in the playoffs.

Iys been increasingly unlikely since the Reds series… but we do have the Tribe for the final three games. Can make up three there in the direct matchup, which changes the typical math considerably.Mathguy64 said:
Cleveland gets 3 with the white Sox starting tonight. By Thursday the math will make it almost impossible.
We are looking like the 3 seed.

We need to cut it to one game going into that series.

So a hurricane theme? They could put the names of all the major hurricanes (plus TS Allison) around the sleeve cuff or something.Farmer1906 said:
The Oilers, Texans, & Rockets should have zero impact on an Astros city connect uni.
I've seen a lot of guesses or ideas thrown out there. What if we lean into the 2017 "Houston Strong" feel. I think the city is at its best when it comes together and during disaster relief.

Although to be fair he was busting his ass on extra drills at the game Saturday. We had great seats for my wife's birthday and she enjoyed the eye candy before the game started.
which means the Astros could still pay for their April sins (so to speak)...if the wildcard series goes awryMathguy64 said:

also means Framber cannot start game 1 of the ALDS
thank goodness there is a day off between games 1 and 2
so Framber and HB can start games 2 and 3

the final series vs. the Guardians will be very interesting -- as to whether the Astros go all-in for the 2-seed.
would they start Framber or HB on Saturday the 28th or Sunday the 29th...risking that they would be unavailable for the wildcard series

If we are 2.5-3.5 games back or better I'd go all out the first game and if we win keep pushing.. if you lose then don't worry about it.
As we've seen the most important thing is just get in and get in healthy

It's the last series of the season. Can't be a half game. If it's 3 games I guess roll the dice. 2 or 1 game behind and you can go at it.
We currently have the tie breaker H2H with the 2-1 series win earlier. But I have no clue what the secondary tie breaker is. If you win game 1 you keep trying. It's a big game of Russian roulette. The more you try the more you risk messing up the WC rotation. But the same is true for Cleveland.
