I'm not sure it's possible to pull but I'm curious in our record in which Hader pitches in a nonsave situation.

Because when it's a nonsave he's either sucking and giving it up or he's holding it but there's no one else behind him to close the door and we cough it up anyways.

With this lineup slumping like it is teams can just pitch around him. Move YED up to 2nd.

I have been thinking the same. You need Caratini and Yainer in the lineup together, even if it means calling up a third catcher for insurance. At this point itll be better than the options on your bench.

It's pretty well documented that Hader has not been good in non-save situations.

If the intention was to put Ferguson in a high leverage spot, I didn't understand why he wasn't used in the 9th once Pressley blew the save and gave up the tying run. Hader is nails when converting saves. Why not use Ferguson in the 9th with a clean base path, then you have Hader to go to if you get the lead. If you lose, then you have Hader to use the next day.

I agree with all saying that Hader has been not good in non-save situations and that we should probably not bring him in much outside of those, but man it's limiting to have a $95 million relief pitcher than can only pitch when a save is on the line. Looking like another great value move by the front office.

Hader was fine last night in a nonsave.

It's just not having anyone worth a flying fck behind him to bring it home because you've spent all your bullets.

Not saying it's Espada's fault for firing the bullets because those were absolutely the right plays at the time.

Just sucks the offense couldn't add some insurance given the bullets were already fired.

I'm not sure if it's a blessing or a curse that the division is as bad as it is. While being in contention is nice, this roster isn't in a position to make a World Series run.
