Somebody get that kid some ripped jeans

Congratulations Dad

I recall my twins being born in July 2005 just as the Astros were really getting hot after the super slow start which orompted the chronicles famous grave stone headline. Turned out to be a legendary season and first time NL pennant for the Astros. A great yr all the way around for us. Hope it happens again for your baby

Dang. Mine was born 27 years and 1 week ago. I remember every moment of that day.

Remember every moment of the day my girl was born also. She spent some time in the NICU while wife was recovering from C-section, scary times

Was really crazy when things finally calmed down a bit and we could look at phones/TV to see news reporting things like 'the national guard has retaken the capitol',, like wtf is going on, how long have we been in here?

Yeah, it was Jan 6

Pro tip - if your baby gets the colic and a car ride calms her down, take her on a long drive around the neighborhood and put the Astros game on the radio. Might be the only time your wife doesn't resent you catching a little baseball and she will likely appreciate the break.

Mine was in NICU for a couple of days under bilirubin lights.

He was what the nurses called "a healthy normal puny white boy". He came home with a bilirubin suitcase.

Turned out ok. He grew big enough to play GK for a college soccer team.

Congrats, man. I have a boy turning 16 next month and daughter that is 11.

It goes fast, it can be tough, but I wouldn't trade the experience for the world. I love watching them both play sports (includes watching them at practice since they moved beyond my coaching years).

Hope you enjoy the ride as much as I have.

Edit: I'm blessed that they both like to watch the Astros and talk baseball with me.

Glad to hear everything worked out. Everything going well for us too. She stopped breathing right after birth with fluid in lungs (common with csections). Then blood sugar was low so they kept her an extra 36 hours. Kid discharged from NICU same time wife discharged from hospital.

The NICU is full of miracle workers. My twins were there for 126 and 142 days in 2012. When they finally got home and saw the astros record, they immediately wanted to go back.

Congrats, tjack! Baby girls are special.

The only thing better than bringing your kids into this world is watching them move out of your house when they're grown, haha. But, you'll have the time of your life for the next couple of decades, so make all the memories you can.

I love Texas Aggie sports, but I love Texas A&M more.

7,349 ft altitude is no joke

332 ft down the lines and 410 to centerfield

every Astro has a chance to pump up or clean up his April numbers

Same. All 3 of mine were C-Sections. Two of them spent days in the NICU. I am thankful for the staff every day and that's the worst feeling watching your baby struggle for a few days. All are doing great.

So you are saying a Bregman pop up will now be a medium depth fly ball?

Newborn can watch her first Astros game today. She has as many homeruns currently as Bregman, Abreu, Chas, and Singleton combined.

Glad y'all got through that okay. We dealt with high blood pressure for my wife which is why they induced her a week early… and there was a moment we almost went C-section but a nurse had the idea to change positions one last time and it worked.

Everybody good with yall now?

With all of the gloom and doom of this board for the last month, it sure is nice to read of some good news about new babies and your children. Keep up the good work.

Like raising children and bad baseball, we'll eventually get through this.
