One thing I remember from the Luhnow / Hinch / deep analytic days is players immediately going to the dugout and getting with coaches or other players and looking at Ipads or whatever. Did those get banned from dugouts?
Regardless, people say this team follows analytics. From what I've seen, we might on a cursory level (everyone does some form of it), but I haven't seen anything that indicates we are doing the things we did that got us to be one of the most dominant teams in baseball, nor are we staying ahead of the curve. The entire strategy from the owner down to the manager seems to have shifted to complacency. Other teams might be killing our pitchers and getting critical outs in key situations against our hitters because they have more deeply studied us than we have them. We have zero plate approach. Our situation hitting is atrocious. And the manager operates on a "well he's always been good so just let him do his thing" managerial style.
If you ask me, we lost our edge and now don't have anyone in place to hold guys accountable.

Thank y'all. She arrived late last night so it's been a crazy but great 12 hours
Our youngest graduates high school in a month. Exactly why I posted "they grow up fast" on the Aggie game thread. It's unreal how the days are long and the years are short. Soak it up. Every minute.CFTXAG10 said:
Originally I scoffed at the "they grow up fast" ; now my daughter is going to be 10 months this Saturday and she has grown like a weed.
It is true. Believe it. Congratulations and soak it all in as much as possible!

Bad news for Wade Miley and the Brewers: The 37-year-old lefty needs Tommy John surgery. He’ll spend the next 10-12 months rehabbing and then decide whether to continue his career.
