Astros have zero opinion with the Mets. Thus as I said im talking specifics and the yankess/astros might even fall out of the range. All pro sports for the most part I dont believe this applies.

What I said 2 months ago was opinion as a fan and I stand by that take. However, know that it will not impeded my judgement as a journalist and I'll handle this new position as an unbiased professional.
I would

I cannot believe Jake Myers is still on this baseball team
I'd be okay with this. My only question mark would be to possibly flip Yordan and Bregs, for the simple fact that Alex works counts and gets on base. But I'd be happy with either.Farmer1906 said:
I know things are slow around here, but I am so happy something like this will be our lineup for the majority of the season.
Altuve
Alvarez
Bregman
Tucker
McCormick
Abreu
Diaz
Pena
Meyers

grew up a fan is different than a known online presence supporting a team. And tu has nothing to do with the Astros07ag said:
Y'all remember the universally loved Julia Morales grew up a Rangers fan and went to tu, right?

Sorry, I don't have time to read all the comments on here today, but I wanted to add...
Chron hired the chick that tried to joke with Kelly about winning? Lmao. What a dummy.
It's remarkable how brainwashed people are about Altuve, but a lot of folks probably think it's too late to change their stance now. Might as well own being a tool I guess.Farmer1906 said:
If you think Altuve is a cheater in 2023 then you fall under 1 of 2 categories:
1. Low Information Casual
2. Hater who refuses to accept reality.

Is he good? No, but I think it paints a much better picture than what you have from your watching experience.
agproducer said:2015 is completely right on this. I worked with a Baylor Bear who covered the Ags and did it well. He's now working at t.u. in their sports dept.texasaggie2015 said:Yeah, trust me, you're wrong on this one. I came across plenty of folks who went to school A who covered rival school B for a living.. and did it very well too. It happens way more often than people think.Lonestar_Ag09 said:I get what you are saying...I just disagree. There is no one in new york media that is directly covering the yankees who are major fans of other teams. Sure a news anchor might not really matter but the sports reporter or beat reporter should not be dire rivals with that team and the person who hires people shouldnt hire someone in that position.agproducer said:It's not about selling out. It's about business.Lonestar_Ag09 said:
so did you sell out you aggie character and cover the sips?
are you really Ketch after all?
I worked in San Antonio for a few years while the Spurs were winning their championships. I helped cover their championship runs and parades -- yet I was a huge Rockets fan.
You put your fandom on the backburner if someone is going to pay you to do the job.
So what he was saying about them being hesitant to even interview him but allowed it because he had nothing showing they shouldnt...if it came down to 4 people for the position and one is an aggie and the other three consist of 2 texas grads and a uconn grad...the aggie should absolutely not be hired.
It's business. You get paid to do the job and be objective.
If you can't separate that, you shouldn't be doing it.
And, this reporter, she should have known better.
Tjack learned about it with his misstep. She should have learned about it after her LSU incident.
Why would either want to do that?Quote:
I saw a headline earlier about a Bregman contract like Ohtani…why couldn't we do that for both he and Jose
