That's a good point. Being close is good, but literally being at the level of the playing surface would make it hard to see. But he obviously believes that's the best location.

For a football game I've never understood being close to the field because the action moves so much. For baseball, being close makes sense because the action is in the infield >90% of the time. Even the action of the outfield is mostly did he catch it, did it go over, or is he going to make a good throw, most of which is easy to see.

With baseball much of it is "close to the field vs view of the action".

First few rows are great to be "close to the players", though with GLF most of the low rows are still a good distance from the action (with a net to boot).

Especially as you get further from home plate, eg. Sec 22, Row 10 is a better seat than Sec 22, Row 3.

I'm 38 and made it my goal to be like that lovely lady in front. No pictures of live game last night. Everyone else had their phones out and I just enjoyed the moment.

Despite the over-reaching tech implications, it makes me really wish Google Glass and the like had taken off. I'd love to be able to just experience the entire game and then re-watch my experience.

Last year got lucky enough to get invited to a game in one of the field level suites. We were right next to the Rangers on-deck circle. Never had more fun at a Rangers game. Most of the players interacted with us the whole game.

Long shot but if any of y'all come across a 47 brand hat with just the World Series patch logo I will pay you and sone me for it! I didn't make it into the center field store last night because the lines were crazy. I've got one from the three other World Series I've attended and would love this year!
