Last night's game was amazing. I missed part of it on a flight. I was offered a ticket for tonight's game, and because of said flight/trip, I had to decline. Still sick about it. Didn't get to go to any World Series games in 10 or 11. Went to ALCS.

Maybe hope for game 6 but would rather just win in it in Arizona.

Believe it was G5 of the LCS and the tv had a screenshot of Cody (Tall Guy) standing o. The concourse area stressing. It was quick but it was him.

I just couldn't bring myself to get up and leave at Zero Dark Thirty to drive in the rain. Had my tickets listed for cheap with no interest. Judging by the availability of cheap tickets all over SeatGeek, we aren't going to be the only ones at home.

If I were in Houston it would be one thing. But driving from north Texas and back is just not worth it today.

I am what folks call a casual fan. I didn't start paying attention until the playoffs. So, it makes sense that I couldn't understand Bochy's pitching decisions. However, lying in bed, it came to me. Welcome. So, Bochy has been masterful with the pitching.

You are probably aware, but we have a ton of SPs that were moved to the BP and that gives him options if he pulls a SP quickly. Bochy has used Sborz-Chapman-Leclerc on back-to-back days when we are ahead. Chapman is scary on b2b days.

I think since we were behind, he used Dunning, who could be our G4 SP or Long guy. I'm hoping this was an alternative to a bullpen session to keep him fresh. With the long rest and him likely going on 10/31, this gets the jitters out keeps him fresh.

I think Bradford would have been his normal guy there.

Great to see Jon Gray get another appearance.

Bochy putting Will Smith in is probably Bochy's way of showing him confidence. Us fans believe when Bochy puts Smith in, it means he thinks the Rangers have lost.

If the Rangers are ahead in the 6th, you'll likely see Sborz, Chapman, and Leclerc. He has used Leclerc b2b often in the playoffs.

What I don't know is what the Ps are like fielding. SacBunts and small ball, SBs are part of what makes the DBacks successful. I don't know that any of us have built-in those situational decisions.

For a football game I've never understood being close to the field because the action moves so much. For baseball, being close makes sense because the action is in the infield >90% of the time. Even the action of the outfield is mostly did he catch it, did it go over, or is he going to make a good throw, most of which is easy to see.
