I am what folks call a casual fan. I didn't start paying attention until the playoffs. So, it makes sense that I couldn't understand Bochy's pitching decisions. However, lying in bed, it came to me. Availability is Bochy's priority. He wants to have everyone (except the starter and maybe one other guy) available for the next game. The team with the most pitching flexibility has the upperhand.

Yeah, just haven't been the same. Love listening to him play-by-play, but all this year I've typically looked for the radio call after a big game and every time came away with "meh".

Whoever the native speaker is on that feed actually had a pretty good call on both the Seager and Garcia bombs. Need to get that guy a state-side job.

Well, the excitement of the game last night and us teetering on the edge made me pull the trigger this morning. Will be sitting in section 230 with my son. We had been debating on all of us going and such but my wife finally just said go and take him, me and the girls will go get our nails done. That's all I needed to hear. lol. Headed to Arlington here shortly.

So if/when I have trouble falling asleep, I like to listen to radio broadcasts of old baseball games. This site has a ton of good stuff: https://archive.org/details/classicmlbbaseballradio. The 1936 WS is a good starting point: Bill Dickey, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, and Mel Ott are the big names.

And for more recent stuff, MLB.tv (https://www.mlb.com/tv) offers multiple audio replays of all games. Requires a $3.99/mo subscription I think. But, you can listen to Nadel for all of the Rangers postseason games this year.
