I think Perez has shown he'll play whatever role he is given. If we plan to look at Bradford in '24, I'd like to see him get some action as a SP the rest of the way.

Heaney put up a 2.39 ERA in august and has a 3.24 era this month. Not sure why you'd take him out of the rotation now. Especially for Bradford (who I like) but has been great out of the bullpen the last 2 months.

I was firmly in the camp that Carter should not be brought up.

He appears to have been just the youthful exuberance necessary to break the doldrums and he has been enough to get this team rolling.

Heaney - At $20M could bring back a return. Pickup the $7M and sell him at #13M and we should be able to get a future Middle-of-the-Rotation guy.

Gray - 2 more years at $13M. He'll have 50+GS and 150.0 IP/yr for the past 2 years... That should bring back a pretty good return.

Dunning - 3yrs of Arb. Even if you consider his 150+ IP/yr as an Innings guy, at Arb prices, he should be huge.

I think we can move 2 of the 3 if we sign Montgomery. That's how you get your SP for 2-3 years from now. Trade guys for cheap future talent.
