Josh smith for Zeke. Bochy is really tanking

Duran has been clutch in past in these types of moments. Puts it in play. Why didn't we let him hit?

Cuz Bochy is a terrible manager. His decision making has contributed just as much as anything to this rut we've been in, in the 2nd half.
Now we have to hope that we're just the Twinkies ***** and we'll start winning after they leave town tomorrow. The Twinkies have really hurt our playoff chances, confidence, and season.South Platte said:
It's unbelievably depressing. Until we are eliminated from post-season, I'm sticking with Bochy and Co. We've been up and down starting June 1. Have to hold out hope that we can start winning games again.
Bad decisions chasing bad decisions leading to worse results.Quote:
That'll apparently be the difference, as Fletcher adds that the Halos would've indeed gotten under the threshold had Grichuk been claimed. The Angels could theoretically still try to cut some spending by placing someone else on waivers.

The Angels are going to make a qualifying offer to Shohei Ohtani, which he'll decline. If he subsequently signs elsewhere, the Halos would receive a compensation pick after the fourth round in the 2024 draft. That's typically around the 140th overall selection. Had the Angels gotten under the threshold, the compensatory pick would've landed between Competitive Balance Round B and the third round approximately 70th overall.

Jonah Heim took right-handed live batting practice this morning and is good to go vs. lefties. Bullpens for Nathan Eovaldi and Max Scherzer. #Rangers

The short answer is no. We don't currently have someone on the 40 to replace him.WestTexasAg said:
Serious question. How is Josh Smith still on the roster? He's now hitting a smooth .199. Is there nobody else at AAA that could do better?

It's amazing how many times we can let a piss poor pitcher off the hook time after time. It's always one good inning and then blown opportunity after blown opportunity. No doubt the bullpen will blow this if the bats don't wake the **** up.
