Walcott not in the lineup tonight either but it's disciplinary. Not because he's in this deal.

Rosenthal just said on the Rays-Astros pregame that Acuña was scratched from the frisco lineup tonight, implying he's part of the deal.

Sorry if this has already been discussed on here but how would the luxury tax work if we got max? Wouldn't that put us over?
Luisangel Acuna, a SS and Ronald’s brother, will go to Mets in proposed Max Scherzer deal — if it is finalized. They are still working through things (there is no official word from Scherzer yet) so it us not final yet.

Nathan Eovaldi will not start on Sunday. There is a bit of soreness in a “good” place behind elbow. MRI was clean, according to Bochy. No IL at this point. But being pushed back further

If Nathan being skipped again I'd think it would be Wednesday which is where he'd normally pitch

Acuña being apart of it is not surprising. I like him a lot but you have to send something to gain something, and he was likely always going to be apart of any trade we made at this deadline because Carter was/is off limits.

Would much rather use Foscue and Saggessee on trades. Acuna is one of my untouchables.

Where is he going to play. Infield is blocked at the Big League Level
That would be up to Scherzer.sincereag said:
Would Scherzer be a rental or would we get him for next season too?
Edit: Didn't mean to post a sad face. I like this move.
