When are you ever guaranteed a WS win? All you can do is position yourself the best you can. The top half of this roster (SP and lineup) are players in their prime. They're not going to be around when these prospects that may or may not pan out get here. The Rangers also have a glut of infield prospects that have nowhere to go. They have pieces they can move to improve their chances.
Also the Rangers don't have any prospects right now that are guaranteed to be superstars. Carter is the closest thing and he's dropped off lately.
