Looks like another team will be in the market for a SP this deadline.
Get back or get Jerry’d

Injuries are a part of the game and it sucks. I guess it's noteworthy because they were counting on him to come back in the 2nd half of the season. Hopefully both he and Degrom heal ok and come back ready to go next year.

I don't know... if you look at their rotation, IMO, the wheels are going to come off.
They have 2 SPs who have ever pitched over 150IP in one season. The need more than just 1 arm.
They could be out by the end of June.

Alvarez left the Stros game tonight in the first inning. Something with his oblique. If he misses significant time the Astros are done.
Prophetic?DallasAg 94 said:

Same here, got nothing against Yordan. Seems like a class act and he's fun to watch. I hope he eventually leaves the Astros.Tksymm7 said:
I freaking love Yordan. He's one of the best pure hitters of the baseball I've ever seen. Sucks that he's wearing an Astros jersey, but I could watch him swing a bat all day.
I hate Framber tho. I watched the Astros vs jays game and he was throwing a tantrum out on the field because things weren't going his way. He was all over the place and the jays got to him for some runs. He just comes across as a fat cry baby, but he's still a really good pitcher.Tksymm7 said:

Jonathan Hernandez in his first AAA appearance last night:

Strikeout swinging, walk, double play grounder
Strikeout swinging, strikeout swinging, walk, strikeout swinging
Bubba Thompson since his option:
17 PA — five walks, one strikeout

The jays broadcast (which is 10x better than our terrible crew) mentioned how the Astros went into Latin America and got several pitchers who had talent, but other teams passed on for being defective or having certain flaws. They somehow got Framber, urquidy, Garcia, and Javier all at once for pretty much nothing.
Extremely extremely annoying, but good work by their scouts and development team.
Stars fans in the metroplex truly are spoiled because the tv crew for the mavericks and rangers is probably near the bottom of the league. While the stars definitely have the best in hockey.
I believe Ralph & Razer helped drive much of the popularity for the Stars. They were amazing.Grapesoda2525 said:

Lewin served the purpose of filling entertainment and cookie talk while the Rangers were terrible. Not a fan of Lewin. Too many pop culture references.Lt. Joe Bookman said:
Bring back Josh Lewin
Him and Tag were pretty good together until Nolan ran Lewin off.

Kind of like how some posters have inside info on the football team?
There's a fine line between discussing baseball and that thread in particular, such as last night where Yordan got hurt. That's just baseball talk and it's our biggest rival, but I agree that we don't always need to consistently discuss what's going on over there. The insider information talk is fine and interesting, but all the talk about how they ***** and moan or are talking about us is annoying and serves no real purpose.beagle2009 said:Mr Gigem said:

Man can we please keep this thread to Rangers discussion? The constant reports on what's going on in the Astros thread is exactly the kind of pettiness that we accuse Astros fans of. If people care enough they can go to that thread on their own and keep it to themselves. We have some absolutely great discussion on this thread and would really hate for it to turn toxic!
