Being it is/was the bat giveaway today, it reminds me of going to Coca Cola/Minyard's Bat Night at Arlington Stadium in the mid-late 80's.

Being that the majority of the stadium was sheet metal, whenever the rally sound of "boom boom - boom boom boom - boom boom boom - boom boom" played, everyone would slam the head of their bats on the floor in synch. It was loud, thunderous and glorious.

One of many vivid memories of the stadium I grew up in.

The short leash for starters has consistently burned this team all year. Wasn't questioning if Gray had been good or not, but pulling your starter in the 6th isn't a recipe for success with this bullpen,

Agree with this also, but Bochy has to find some relievers who can be trusted as the season gets shorter and with the possibility of post season play.
Doing this against the Marlins now may not be such a bad idea, even though middle relief has been a whipping all season.

It's August. If you haven't found middle relief that can be trusted by now, then you're in trouble if you need them. Gray was at less than 80 pitches. Unless it health related, I don't understand why you wouldn't let him get through 6.
