Looking to do some scoreboard watching today. I've included the team's SP to give some context on our rotation as it compares to the rest of the AL.
Current projected playoff teams in rank of record. Seattle is certainly sticking around 2.5GB Toronto and has passed by BoSox and NYY.

Tampa (2) Civale (13GS, 2.34) @ Detroit
Texas (4) Jon Gray (19GS, 3.66) v Miami
Houston (5.5) Verlander (16GS, 3.15) @ NYY

Minnesota (11.5GB: 57-54) Kenta Maeda (11GS, 4.53) v Arizona
Civale and Verlander will be making their 2023 debut with their "new" team.
Love the NYY v Houston matchup. One loses.

Eh I'd rather Houston lose but I hate the Yankees so it feels like a win-win. The

The way the NY reviews of plays have gone against us, the last think I want is the Yankees sneaking into the playoffs and then by some "miracle" of Umpiring, they'll win the WS as this Cinderalla story about how this battered team over came blah blah blah...

I don't get the hate for Dusty Baker. I mean to my knowledge Crane only interviewed Dusty and Jeff banister. Their owner hired a manager who's better than any manager we've ever had, except for Bruce Bochy. Crane also chose Dusty because he's widely respected around mlb and he's someone who would clean up their team.

Same. All he has done is bring them a legitimate WS championship in 2 appearances and kept them in contention for the AL West despite some significant injuries to key personnel. 16K's for the vaunted Astros offense in support of long time Astros hero JV. Too bad his first start ended up being a massive wet fart of a game for them.
I will admit…. This team should make picking up a good DH a priority next year. We have enough hitters to fill the slot, but the problem is that Duran and Garver both have the same issue where they hit much much better when they're engaged in the field playing defense. Both garver and Duran are underwhelming at DH. We need someone who can hit well and doesn't mind staying on the bench all game.
