Hard to win when you play 7 vs 9. Especially when that 9 has a low BA of .245 but that guys hit 39 home runs.

I'd be better if they won yesterday and it was a highlight of a really bad weekend. I got laid off Friday so not much positive in life at the moment

I'm 95% certain that I'm getting laid off tomorrow, but that date has already changed three times, so who knows. It's like the ALCS umpiring crew is handling layoffs, which I suppose means I could be one of those strikes that gets called a ball and stick around until the next round of layoffs.

Obviously losing tonight and getting laid off tomorrow is far from ideal, but I can't control either situation. If we lose, our window of opportunity is far from closed. And, unfortunately, I am not close to retirement age, so there will be other jobs.

Honestly today has been ****ing miserable so far that I fully expect us to get bounced and I have to come to work tomorrow and listen to annoying Rangers fans all day long. Please don't let this happen Universe. Its already been a rough year

I think it's a combination of too many guys trying to hit it out to short left field, the dimensions set-up make it hard to get a multi-base hit to left field as the fielder plays off the edge of the Crawford boxes, and guys just don't try and go oppo with a pitcher throwing outside (all our right handers except Chaz on occasion fall into this trap). Tons of rollovers to SS

When we did go oppo last night it started a rally.

I'm still amazed that no coach (I'm assuming this based on the outcome), talked to Dubon and mentioned Leclerc couldn't throw a strike so take until he actually does. Maybe that kind of coaching stops in high school? I don't know.

Really feels like Bregman is the guy we need to step up tonight. He's trying to work the count every time up ,but with the umps this ****ty it's not working. Very frustrated watching him stare at 3-0 straight down the pipe last night.

Could not agree more. He had to know a hittable pitch was coming 3-0 with Yordan behind him with the numbers Eovaldi has against Yordan. He had to now Nathan would not give him a walk. Just watched a grooved FB.

For real. That pitch was what coaches tell a young hitter they are ok letting them unload on for a first pitch swing. Man, what a wasted opportunity.

He goes dead take any time it's a 2-0 or 3-0 count. Then he gets that strike, then next pitch he usually fouls one off/gets one called on the edge and gets himself into a full count. He's become a predictable hitter when he doesn't attack on the first or second pitch

My thing is, if you take the 3-0 pitch, you might as well take the 3-1 and continue working the pitcher.
