Dubon is a Gold Glove finalist at second and utility. He's no slouch on defense. Peña could pinch run for Brantley late in the game and stay in to play defense, sliding Chas over to left and Dubon to center.

When you're trying to win game 7, you sometimes have to give yourself the best chance to win. Peña is not 2022 post season Pena and hasn't been all season. It's a completely different situation than you have with Tucker. Peña's inability to lift the ball right now makes him a strikeout or groundout candidate nearly every at bat. If Maldy has to be behind the plate, then we need to strongly consider sitting Pena in favor of a batter that's been hitting the ball better all postseason, and arguably all season.

Man, I totally get where you're coming from. I'm just saying that Dusty won't do it. In the event that Dubon is not in the starting lineup, I fully expect him to be first off of the bench if the situation calls for it.

Looking at his scorecards for the season, he favored the road team in 21 out of 29 games. He might be one of those umps that enjoys hearing the boos from the crowd and getting them riled up.

Ranger ML on DraftKings is +105 so I put some down on that. If they win I win, if they lose then I win too

I have friends that do the same thing with Aggie football (which has been a good bet for a long time)…so you're definitely not the only one that hedges their happiness with money, but I don't know how much money it would take to make me feel good about a loss tonight.

A lot more than I want to bet on the Rangers, that's for sure.

This has gotta be the most down fanbase headed into a game 7 at home with a pitching match-up that clearly favors you in the history of baseball.

Time to nut up. This is Our House, Our Division, and Our Penant, and there's no way we're gonna let little brother take it from us.

The old baseball saying that momentum is your next day's starting pitcher favored the Rangers yesterday but not today. Scherzer's pitched one game in the last six weeks and he got rocked in it.

Team is 40-46 overall at home, and has lost 21 of 28 at home.

They were 4-12 when I was in attendance during the regular season. I was at the Framber no-hitter though.

I am 2-0 all-time in ALCS games (2017 G1/G2).

I want to go tonight, but friends and family are telling me not to. Need advice. I am a 26-year old lifelong Astros die-hard who also hates the Rangers and everything Dallas. But, I don't want to feel like I'm the reason we lost and be ridiculed by family and friends. I think my heart knows the right answer, but curious what the board thinks…

We win tonight 5-1.
Javier pitches into the 8th, 11+ strikeouts
Pressley closes it out.

That's it.

7-21 in our last 28 home games may be dragging us down. But I agree with the rest of your post.

So we win 1 out of every 4? Not seeing the problem. Got them right where we want them.

No. He pitched a full 7 innings once this year and twice last year. Nothing ever beyond that.

Well, he also shut us down for 8 innings back in May at Minute Maid Park. Par for the course for this team at home.

It amazes me how flat the team looked last night after the big win on Friday. The Rangers seemed amped up and we looked nervous.

So, here's my guess on Abreu. I think he gets suspended 1 game, but I think it will either be game 1 of the WS or the first game of next season.

I don't think they're going to do it for a game 7. That's a really big talking point I don't think MLB is going to want to have.

We need at least 5 innings from CJ tonight, preferably 6. Anything more is a bonus and clearly things are going well for us. We've got France and HB fully rested for the middle. Neris and Maton should be good to go, and fully rested Pressly for the 9th inning shut down.

I think it's more about the number of times through the order for CJ than it is innings. There's really nobody on the pitching staff that won't be available tonight outside of probably Framber. Everybody else will have their spikes on and ready to come in if necessary.
CJ, France, HB, Neris, Abreu, Pressly…even JV. Let's get it done!

I really don't think they were nervous last night. MLB was ****ing with them through the umps and the swings started pressing because they were going to get called looking if they didn't. I'm optimistic that the umps will call a more fair game today. Unless the Astros really came out rocking there was no way they were going to win game 6 on merit. Manfred absolutely pulls the strings to get the outcome he wants, which was a game 7. On paper with a fair game the Astros beat the Rangers every time.

Didn't they say his hearing was expedited to today? I think they're intentionally going under 24 hours to decide prior to game 7.

I think the outside strike to the righties certainly changed a few of the ABs, but you guys thinking it's some conspiracy from Manfred all the way down is crazy.

If anything, Manfred should want it to be a Hou/Phi series. Altuve, Yordan, Harper, Turner, JV, Framber, Wheeler, Nola. Phillies getting the opportunity to complete their "revenge" season.
