Can we win a 7-game series without Tucker having an RBI?
Can we put Tucker on the bench? Not only is he a zero at the plate. He's a defensive liability right now.

Yes, but it's going to take someone other than Altuve or Yordan to get an x-base hit.iBrad said:

No. You have to have him in there. He can go nuclear at anytime.Furlock Bones said:iBrad said:

Just like you couldn't bench Altuve last year when he was doing nothin until the WS.
Tucker was a big reason the team is where it is. He should play.
I hope you know this terrible performance tonight is on you…All I do is Nguyen said:

Only fitting that we trail the division the entire season only to take it at the end.
We're just doing the same thing in the playoffs.
Ok - then your outfield is Brantley/Yordan, Dubon, and Chas. No thanks.Furlock Bones said:Beat40 said:No. You have to have him in there. He can go nuclear at anytime.Furlock Bones said:iBrad said:

Altuve wasn't a defensive liability last year. Tucker is. He's making terrible reads.

Hard part is the Astros can't make any sense of it either. Has been such a weird year.
I don't think it's all Crawford box related either. I do think it is somewhat in their heads now. I think Dubon was a big example of that tonight. They all are trying to come through with men on at home, and I think it's turned into pressing. One of the reasons I wasn't upset with Singleton getting a shot. He was at least going to try to stay within his game and eye.

Singleton really did have a great AB. It didn't work out but it was enough to make me wish almost anyone else had that in them.

Back to situational hitting. You can't try for the grand slam with every swing in those situations. Like Dubon's. They were pitching him way outside and he kept swinging at it. He finally connected, but he was trying to pull it. When they are throwing for that outside the strike zone strike call, go with it and hit it the other way. Slapping that over the first baseman's head probably scores 2. Wish Singleton hadn't swung at ball 4 at the end, but his was a great at bat that the pitcher just won eventually by making him swing atone outside the zone.Philip J Fry said:
Anyone on here who missed the Bagwell/Biggio era….these home games remind me of those days. 1 out bases loaded situations have to turn into runs. I remember at least one Braves series where we bases loaded, 1 out twice in the game and came out of it with zero runs. It was bizarre to watch.
