Framber fights his mental side but he's got that dawg in him and I think with a chance to finish them off at home he balls out.

So surely if abreu was suspended so was Garcia right? I mean they can judge the intent of one guy so surely shoving another player and two umpires is worthy of suspension?
I don't know how much more obvious Manfred and MLB could possibly be with this one sided suspension. Total BS.
How long do these appeals take? I can see Manfred expediting it so he has to serve late Word Series. Complete BS.

I'd like to hear from Crane every once in a while when **** like this happens. I personally think he took the "sign stealing" punishment like a little *****.
This feels like a deal where MLB will hear the appeal quickly, reduce the suspension to one game, and make him miss a WS game, acting like they are beingmerciful when they are in fact tilting the table in the first place.

I agree but it appears his cooler head prevailed. This suspension is horse****, though. It's pure hoes mad bull*****
I think the bigger issue is that his stuff plays more to the Rangers strengths than Verlander and Javier.
I might even look to get Brown in again early as his high heat playa better.
Same reason why Neris has struggled a bit more - the Rangers have shown that high heat combined with a good breaking ball is their Achilles heel.

My guess is MLB did this knowing the Astros will appeal and he won't serve until next season. Their goal is to stop the retaliation next game.

The probelm is that there is a full two weeks remaining before the end of the World Series. I have a hard time believing they will sit on their hands for 2 weeks. I still think they will reduce to 1 game and make him serve it in a potential WS.
To me, the better hope is that the initial ruling is meant to warn against further shenanigans for a couple of days, and then they will hear the appeal after that and drop the suspension.

As @Alden_Gonzalez first noted, Major League Baseball's CBA states that all appeals during the postseason must be heard within 48 hours. So, if Bryan Abreu does appeal, it is not a given that his suspension will carry over to 2024.

I think this suspension comes after dusty's comments about if there is going to be some **** going down in game 6/7. He said yeah, and MLB is trying to keep teams from escalating things further by dishing out this. Still bull**** garcia isnt getting anything. This is where graveman being hurt really sucks. I guarantee you mlb is gonna expedite the appeal before game 6, and if he even gets 1 game, you now have to have your starter cover 7 because you have two leverage guys. Maybe Hunter can cover one?
Has there ever been a situation where a player shoved/bumped/touched an umpire and was NOT suspended?
