Anyone else finding it absolutely hilarious that the same fan base which created an identity out of the Odor punch on Bautista and celebrating it, were openly bragging about having their "Jose Bautista" moment yesterday.

Gonna guess that nobody will attempt to cash in on the Abreu pitch or make it their identity.

Message pitches are distinct from throws at the head or pitches with intent to injure.

Old school, tough nose pitching, including hit batsmen, is a legit part of the game.

And yes, Altuve would take his base, not start a brawl. Maldy is probably the one guy in our lineup that would truly jaw.

I could see a situation where a Rangers pitcher throws at him and then starts chirping and trying to create a reaction.

However, I also think it's unlikely that Bochy would put up with that…I'm sure he wasn't horribly thrilled with Garcia's HR antics.

Was there ever any explanation for
Why Garcia went after Maldy instead of Abreu? I kinda think I know the answer , Abreu may have gone Nolan Ryan on him. Probably was a smart decision on Garcia's part.

Cmon. Rangers bullpen is trash. Monday is a bullpen day as is. Zero chance one of their best starters throws at altuve to open game 6 when they're facing elimination.

As dumb as thinking abreu's was intentional, that's even dumber.

Probably should have been ejected brushing dubon back immediately after altuves hr, though.

And being an analyst or commentator is a much better option.

Playing with fire and passion is great. It's also why it takes a clubhouse of respected veterans to tell the young pups there's a time and place for everything. Thankfully the Astros supposedly have that in spades. Or else you learn it the hard way like the Rangers.

I want to believe you but if you look at his games against the Rangers they have put 5-6 runs on him 3 out of 4 games this year.. it could happen but it hasn't been his norm against their line up.

Just like it didn't make sense for us to be throwing at Garcia, it wouldn't make sense for them to be throwing at any of our guys. The only way this happens is if we are blowing them out. In a tight game, facing elimination, they'd be beyond foolish to put runners on base freely like that. And especially to Maldy. He's the easiest out in our lineup.
