Wow what a photo
What I've always loved about Altuve is how far up in the batter's box he stands. They asked him about it one time and he said it's so he can hit breaking pitches before they fully break...and they followed up with "well, what about fast balls, aren't you worried they will throw it by you." His response: "No."
It also reminds me of Bagwell...back in '99 an A&M buddy I knew was in paper sales in Atlanta (this was before Dunder Mifflin unfortunately or I would have give him a ton of s***) but he had FANTASTIC company seats to most Braves games. Anyway, I flew in to go to the Houston series so I got to sit like 2 rows behind home plate, it was terrific.
Top of the first inning Bagwell comes up to the plate and immediately, without any care in the world, starts digging up the back chalk line of the batter's box, just using his foot to completely cover it up and HPU just looks the other way. He then proceeds to dig in his back foot at least 6 inches behind the batter's box but you couldn't tell because he made such a mess there.
A long-winded way of saying Altuve is the anti-Bagwell. ESPECIALLY IN THE PLAYOFFS!
