Chas is the better defensive LF and you can shift to CF if needed. You PH for him there and you can't go with a better defensive outfield later in the game. Personally, I think that's probably a risk you take for having Brantley get an AB but it's not that black and white in my purely fan opinion.

I like forcing them to make a play. Would he have been out? Maybe … but we ended up with no runs anyways and we saw how holding a runner at 3rd in game 1 hurt us.

Yeah it's about defense in a close game. I'd have gone Brantley but I understand why not

Rangers had exactly what they wanted- a slider heavy pitcher with McCormick and Peña up. Dusty should have batted Brantley there. Tough luck on the third out. Rangers have positioned Simien perfectly every game so far.
I love Texas Aggie sports, but I love Texas A&M more.

Man, a bad call that first pitch to Chas can completely change the game. Going from a 1-0 count to an 0-1 count with bases loaded when Chas now has to protect the outside.
