Having lived in the metroplex for 13 years now, the sports fans up here are an interesting bunch, and much of it stems from the Cowboys. There's a lot of living in the past, a lot of thinking your franchise is historically better than it is, and a lot of moral victories in watching rivals lose, almost garnering as much pleasure as winning.

When you tack on being an Aggie and a lifetime of disappointment there, the behavior of Rangers fans js understandable. If you're younger than say, 35, all you have is a Mavs title to hang your hat on.

We were the same miserable ****s prior to 2017, without any recent successes. We are fortunate to be fans of one of the greatest stretches of success in sports history. Never take it for granted.
This is pretty much how I see the Rangers fans, pretty much the same as us Aggie fans, we live in misery w our screwed up coaching hires so we have to take pleasure in bashing other fan bases, we are also always waiting to win the big one … hey let's face it it's part of being a fan, most colleges or pro teams are not winning the big one very often, we Astros fans are extremely lucky and I see how other fans want to be like us. Truthfully it's kind of nice w the recent success, it's great being in the position we are in now, if we keep winning it's great but if we don't win it's not a huge deal, our 7 year run and 2 titles are lifetime accomplishments as a fan, we don't need more tittles but of course as fans we want more !

Now if we could just get our Aggie football team in this position to win several championships, we could all live happily ever after, until then we have to take little victories, moral victories, and keep relishing in other fan's misery, it's just how it works !

That's cool and all but that ain't winning any championships… good coaches and top players along w a little luck will win the championships, having a band as your motivation is really just a little side moral victory I guess, I mean it's cool and all….
