Same here. I think much was made of how many consecutive days on the road before yesterday?? Something like 16 or 18 and how they used that to really rally together for the postseason. A few days off might cool those bats off a little.

Lots of Abreu talk on the thread. Heard today on local radio that since he came back on Aug 25 from his multi-day rest, his OPS is .865 and I think he led AL in RBIs in Sept...and now we see what he's doing in the post-season. This is the guy we were hoping for when we signed him.

The crazy thing about the Astros making it to 7 straight ALCS is the players the team lost/replaced and kept winning.

Over that timeframe, the Astros lost Correa, Springer, Keuchel, Cole, Greinke and Morton to free-agency. McCullers, Verlander and Framber lost parts/all of season to injuries. Yet the team kept winning.

The Astros have done a great job of picking up a couple key free agents (Brantley, arguably Abreu), and developing some guys that have become studs or solid players (Tucker, Alvarez, Bryan Abreu, Chaz). They have done amazingly well with the "next man up" mentality.

We win this year and next and there is absolutely no f***ing question he goes into the HOF as a motherf***ing Astro. If MLB decides otherwise I'll personally fly to Cooperstown and drape an Astros jersey over his plaque. It will be worth the jailtime.

I feel happy that Brantley gets to participate and make an impact this year too. Even though he got a ring last year I'm sure it was bittersweet with his absence in the playoffs
