Brantley is far from 100% so I would expect occasional day offs for as long as we're in the playoffs. Sucks but it is what it is.
As far as the Sonny Gray splits thing goes.. to be fair, righties have hit better off him over the duration of his career. This is the first year it's been the opposite. So I guess it all depends on if you value the large sample size or recency more.
If Brantley was 100% he would certainly be in the lineup tomorrow night.
Seems like the shadows won't be a big issue tomorrow by the time 3pm rolls around. That's good news.
The first three innings of the game tomorrow are so big. I know that seems like a captain obvious statement but it's so true. We have to put some pressure on Gray early and we need Javier to find a rhythm.
We also need someone besides Altuve and Alvarez to come up with big hits. Tucker, Bregman, Abreu. We need those guys. We can rage about Maldy as much as we want (rightfully so) but the truth is if those guys don't show up it's going to be an early exit either way.
I think we see this team respond in a big way tomorrow.
