Diaz at 1B for the Rays is having a **** day. Is he always this bad?
Advanced metrics have him similar to Abreu.Wabs said:

TB's defense has really failed them big-time today. And it just might cost them their season.Farmer1906 said:Advanced metrics have him similar to Abreu.Wabs said:

Who are we all rooting for between Toronto and Min? Not sure I care but leaning towards MIn. I guess I am really rooting for a 3 game series
They have 95 M committed to 5 starting pitchers in 2024 and ~243 M in total for those 5 arms (Scherzer, deGrom, Eovaldi, Gray, & Heaney). I doubt they want to spend too much (75-125 M, I would guess for Monty) when they have quite a few bodies to replace.JohnnyTexAg1995 said:
Can the rangers afford Montgomery in FA? Will he go elsewhere?
It's kind of a high-risk, high-reward play. We should have an advantage in G1. But if we blow it then we have to survive their 1-2 punch in games 2 and 3.Beau Holder said:
I think the Twins are better than most think, but if they advance, the fact that they're having to use Lopez and Gray now will benefit us. The Jays have a deeper rotation.

I mentioned it earlier. I assumed it was ARod (maybe its not?). He was basically talking about it being a thing before Gausman threw a pitch. Like he expected it.Beau Holder said:
The announcers have majorly picked up on the idea that Gausman is tipping his splitter

Sure but how many teams can say they have been to the postseason 5x in a row. They do it with a fraction of the payroll too.tjack16 said:
Everybody always hypes up the Rays but their postseasons have sucked compared to their regular season output. Especially if they lose this series

One might argue its their lack of star power preventing them from getting over the hump?Farmer1906 said:Sure but how many teams can say they have been to the postseason 5x in a row. They do it with a fraction of the payroll too.tjack16 said:
