With our starting pitching it almost doesn't matter WC vs Division besides the longer series. It feels like we'll be in a lot of 6-4 or 7-5 ballgames and need our bullpen to keep us ahead. Bats need to stay hot.
This is a fun little game. What do you expect to happen more often? Bats doing work or pitching shut things down?linkdude said:

Julio plays for the other team? Or did Neris use a no no word?Farmer1906 said:
It's because they tried to cancel him with the homophonic bull *****

Neris had to issue an apology?! That's so soft.

Hector Neris has been one of the vocal leaders in the clubhouse this year. As good as he's been coming out of the bullpen, he's possibly meant even more behind the scenes. Neris will demand big money this off-season. The Astros #1 free agency target this offseason will likely be Josh Hader, but if that doesn't work out, I think it would be worth trying to retain Neris. He means a lot to this ballclub.
Casually dropping a Hader bomb.

Sure hope it's not Hader after the news today.

I see it both ways. That guy has a 1.18 ERA and is a few games away from getting generational changing money. His team blew it already. Why put yourself in a situation you're not comfortable with in a meaningless game?
Because that's what you're paid to do? He's thrown 53 innings this year...he can't get four outs?

Yeah, I put all the scenarios together last night on here. With only 3 games left, it was a lot more complicated than I thought.OKCAg2002 said:

Is he paid to get 4 outs or 3?
Would you feel differently if we stretched a SP out from 90 to 120?
Really?
Julio Rodriguez refused to comment on the exact words they Hector Neris said. But he made it clear he never plans to speak to him again.

It's impossible to be this bad unless you are really trying. Sucks for the game man.
