Thanks for making my point for me.
I think most of us realize that there is a lot behind the scenes about sports teams we don't know, but that means we can ONLY comment on the actual games. However, there is zero amount of behind the scenes managing that makes up for how he used Niko while on the roster.

Also, the bottom line is winning matters. A lot. Dusty didn't torpedo 21 or 22, and was - in my opinion - a real help coming out of the cheating news. Things are looking a lot more precarious this year, and we can all argue how much of that is due to Dusty. But teams as equally good as this one, or close to it, have fired him for not getting over the hump, regardless of how well he handles all the non-game stuff.
Then shouldn't all of you hate Jim Crane with every fiber of your being? He's the guy paying Dusty's check every week.
1st of all, I don't hate Dusty. I don't like him managing the Astros.
2nd, yes, I did not like the fact that Crane kept Dusty for this season.
I don't care how much management did or didn't get along with him, you can't fire him coming off of a world series win. You would get crucified by the media for it for a variety of reasons, some true and some made up (ie racism). I am just happy to see Julks sent down so that we don't have to sit through Dusty pinch hitting Julks for Maldonado in late inning situations while Brantley sits on the bench.
Does this include the GM and FO or just the manager?

I've noticed that Chas has looked a little frustrated the last couple games. That head first slide into first base last night tells me he's pressing a little bit. I don't have a problem with the day off tonight. He's been playing damn near every day.

He has the stronger arm of the 3 guys capable of playing CF. Chas has the most clutch plays and Jake is probably the most athletic guy of the bunch. Chas would be my starter but the hell do I know.

Which comes into play MAYBE once or twice a game but usually not at all.

That being said, he's been hitting really well lately so I'm fine with it. It's a damn good lineup so hopefully we continue to rake and we've got Chas as a nice pinch hit option late if we need it.

Altuve cycle last night. Brantley's return tonight.
Had multiple pints in the Sons of Liberty old haunts this afternoon, plus the Cheers bar right now.

Really enjoying this Boston trip!
