Ol Charlie just keeps on going. I know W/L records for pitching can be deceiving but in his case it's pretty illustrative. When he came to the Astros he was 25 games under .500 for his career. Since then he's 41 games over.

Had a few errands so caught the back half of the game on the radio. Didn't see this already mentioned but maybe it was - per Blummer JV only had 3 swing and misses today. Their guy had 10+. Clearly they were squaring JV up but I didn't realize it was that bad.

Hopefully just an off day but woof.

yes, the Astros have caught several breaks in the past several series

however old friends...Paxton and Sale...will open for the Red Sox at MMP next Monday & Tuesday

I had forgotten...but the 2010 San Francisco Giants won the World Series with a rookie catcher

a guy named Buster Posey. Rangers fans have heard of him.

thank goodness the Giants' starting rotation didn't have any qualms in throwing to him

I believe he caught every inning of SF's playoff run

To be fair, Buster Posey was light years ahead of where Yainer Diaz is now. Yainer is awesome. But the Astros weren't even sure if he would stick at catcher as early as March of this year. He's taken huge strides this season. On and off the field.
