So maldys game so far:
Failed to deliver with bases loaded.
Gets stolen on and a passed ball leading to a run

in one sense the Astros are not being fair to Maldy
he turns 37 years old this week
being asked or required to do a lot as an old ballplayer

The way it's structured is that Dusty has full control over the lineup. That's really common in MLB. I would imagine it would be tough to find guys who will take jobs if they didn't. I'm sure there's exceptions.
The front office provides input and suggestions. But it's ultimately Dusty's decision. I know for a fact the front office wants more Diaz ABs.

The solution is simple. Put Yordan in left when Maldonado catches, DH Diaz. And then when Diaz catches, DH Yordan
No more Meyers or Dubon in CF unless it's an absolutely necessary day off for somebody

Or Maldy just doesn't catch anymore because it's clear as day he's hurting this team more than helping it.
