Agreed. The O's are the #1 seed currently and as much as I am happy for them (I genuinely am), I hope we take 2/3 or sweep them.
Dusty please give us the A+ roster this series

I heard a stat the other day, ever since Adley got called up, they have not been swept in a series once. If true, that's incredible.

The the teams have very similar stats across the board. Their Pythagorean record is exactly the same.
The difference is:
1 run games
20-10 / 15-14
Extra inning games
6-5 / 1-7
Or does Dusty play Yordan in LF to see how he might do in case we have to come back in the playoffs?Farmer1906 said:
Reminder since I don't think we've played here yet since the change, but the Os went crazy and made their LF giant.
Having someone like Chas in LF or another left-handed (Singleton) bat swinging toward the shorter fence may be smart.

So you're saying the difference is bullpen and extra inning strategy…

I assume you meant Jake at CF, but yes, I agree, i think Dusty wants to see how Yordan handles that huge LF.Lonestar_Ag09 said:
Id like to see him out there at least once and see how it goes, might as well do it tonight. The other games have him DH, Chaz in LF and Jake in RF.
I dont see Jon getting anything but a late PH attempt for Jake in a tight spot and then plug Doobie in CF

Completely agree with the edit. Struggles are magnified and quantified by the extras but exist in general throughout the game.txags92 said:FIFYW said:

it's weird though
the Astros are 63-42 this season in regulation games
which is an excellent record
i figured, but in your first sentence you said "Jake in RF".... I assumed a mistake.Lonestar_Ag09 said:
My lineup has Jake in CF. I messed up and put Maldy -9 forgetting I was listing positions rather spot in the lineup
Agree. We lost an early season home game in extras against the Tigers in this fashion. Went to the bottom of the 10th tied. We didn't bunt. Next guy hit a long fly ball. We didn't score and ended up losing 7-6 in 11.Mathguy64 said:
I'm a firm believer you should play small ball if you are tied and batting in the bottom of Manfredball. You should maximize your chances of scoring just 1 run.
Alternatively if tied and in the field in the bottom you play it the other way. Immediately walk the batter to make a force and DP. A player on 3B and 1 out and I walk them full or at least set up DP.

An example of what the big LF can do to a player.
Alex Bregman has a respectable 18 HRs this season. If Alex played every game at Camden Yards, he would have 7.
Never has a man been happier to see a blooper fall.
