Call for all the head scratching decisions he makes, he does deserve credit for keeping this team together given all the injuries they have had. If they win the division, he deserves serious consideration for manager of the year.

The fans may not like him, but the players seem to love him and respond to him.

I still can't believe NY actually overturned that...if I'm being honest it was too close to overturn even though I do think the tag beat him. It was eerily similar to Bregman's throw in the '17 ALCS against the Yankees at homeplate minus McCann getting spiked.

That all being said this still doesn't make up for the countless times NY has screwed us over the past decade (even before the scandal) but I'LL TAKE IT!!!

Altuve needs to get back hopefully tomorrow because Dubon batting leadoff is a disaster. When he was hitting well earlier he was taking the pitch to right field and getting on base. Now his approach is to swing aggressively and try to be a power hitter by pulling everything which results in rolling over to SS. Needs to bat either 8th or 9th when Altuve and Yordan come back.

What I've heard about a potential JV deal:

- picking up steam, but still ways to go.
- it would almost assuredly include Montero
- it wouldn't be cheap but wouldn't cost as much as we think considering the contract and his age
- that Bonda guy on Twitter is full of **** and definitely was getting ahead of himself
- Crane and JV are still very close and there was no hard feelings when he left in free agency. JV is on good terms with the club.
- If a trade is agreed upon, it's expected he would waive his no trade clause as playing for a winner is very important and lifestyle is another factor. The familiarity of Houston may make the move easier on the family.

Also I've seen a lot of "If Crane wanted to spend that money he would have matched the offer in free agency."

Two things: 1. The Mets will be paying some of his salary and 2. The roster is completely different than it was back then after the injuries to the staff

I know that's sort of a "saying a lot of nothing" but that's all I've heard. Wish I had something more concrete for you guys.
