Crazy thing is announcer is wrong ... if Abreu touches home before Chaz was doubled up, the run counts.

I got into it with an ump about this and then went and looked it up and the ump was totally right. The out at 2nd would have been considered an appeal and not actually a force out ... I think almost many of us have had this rule wrong for years

No check out this link but lots of places you can look it up as well ... not considered a force out. Force out can really only happen going forwards, not backwards to a base you were already at.

I really thought I knew baseball until I researched this ruling after it happened in our HS game and had an animated discussion with the ump ... lol
