Bielak will be available in the bullpen today but could start tomorrow. J.P. France also an option for tomorrow.

Bagwell and Crane teetering on an 0-3 from the offseason...and yea i'm still counting Abreu in the 0 column until he shows consistency for a 2-3 months.

I was just reading a draft blurb that listed the Astros farm as ranked #28. When considering potential trades does anyone think it would be in the Astros interest to acquire some more future 1st round picks? Obviously, they don't help this year, and I don't mean picks exclusively...but at some point the team will need some more, right?
In general, what do team value more...prospects or draft picks?
I get that, and I was unaware of the restrictions on trading picks. Houston has done a good job on the international prospect world and had 2 pretty good GMs work to keep the system viable.Harry Dunne said:
Our farm has been ranked low for years…and yet we keep cranking out studs. I think those rankings suck and our guys are better at evaluating talent than some writers from Talking out of your Ass Magazine.

I've been telling y'all not to count on Brantley this year.
He could still be a viable option vs RHP. If he plays, and I'm not going hold my breath, I think we should see if he's productive.tjack16 said:
I think we can finally stop saying "when Brantley comes back". I'd rather have Dubon in LF anyways at this point. There's no reason to assume Brantley coming back from a year long injury and being 37 that he will be better than what Dubon is doing now.

But we both know Dusty will just pencil him in the 2 hole every day.

Not if he stays on the IL all year. I think it's time to scratch him off the list.
