Things that were happening in 2011

- RG3 won the Heisman
- Johnny Manziel and Mike Evans were redshirting for the Mike Sherman led Texas A&M Aggies
- Rolling in the Deep was the song of the year
- Obama was still in his first term
- I was in high school, as was Alex Bregman, Carlos Correa, etc
- Miguel Cabrera was a spry young man
- A&M was a member of the Big 12 Conference

and last but not least
- the last time the RANGERS were in the World Series

I believe the Astros are treating this as a playoff series. We'll see, but the Astros offense just played a playoff style game and I think they're going to do it the next three days.
