That's what you get when you start Julks and Maldy.
It's ridiculous. Get Diaz to work with Javier and Framber, like NOW.
What is the reason that is stopping them from developing Diaz as a catcher? It's insanity. It would be similar to starting Josh Reddick most games when Tucker is raking and much better at ALL ASPECT of his game.

Glad to get 2 of 3, but we need some sweeps. Unfortunately this offense reminds me a lot of 2021 when we'd win in spite of it at times.

Pressly has given up runs in SIX of of his last seven appearances. Abreu needs to be the closer for the time being and Dana needs to go to work.
Just glad I stayed down on the Llano River until nearly 9:00 watching a great sunset instead of watching the first eight innings of this crappy offense.
Keeping track - very conservatively this is the 5th game I totally put the loss on Dusty. Yes umps blew some crucial balls and strike calls and offense was non existent but Diaz not in the lineup, Maldy leading off the 9th, and a couple other wtf moves and non moves are squarely at Dusty's feet.
I can totally see why Click and Dusty didn't mesh - still waiting for Dana to do something.

Could Dana even fire Dusty if he wanted to, or is Dusty protected by Crane? We all gave Hinch **** but you could at least understand the reasoning behind most of his decisions. Dusty's mindset seems to be making the worst possible decision and then quintupling down on it.
The Rangers have 1 regular with an OPS below .700, and he's a part time DH around .630
The Rays have 3. One is at .697 and the other 2 split time at catcher and are both above .660
The Braves have 2, both above .600, one of which is a rookie SS
The freaking Diamondbacks have 2 catchers above .670
The Astros are putting a guy in for 155 ABs with a .550 OPS and a guy with over 170 ABs that, amazingly, has a .660 but plays more than guys who are better. It is absolute malfeasance.

Dusty's not getting canned, y'all. As frustrating as his lineups are, we just won the World Series. That said, I don't see Dana giving him a free pass after this season.
Dusty had such little impact on that world series.
That's better than over-managing like Dave Roberts and having too much effect. Or AJ in 2019, Game 7. Dusty made the right moves when needed.

Unfortunately agreed. Dana has to be bold. Machete has a place on this team as backup catcher and leader bit Dusty is too stupid to see it. Trade for a catcher and cut Maldy. It's unfortunate for machete that's the way it has to be but as long as he's on the roster Dusty will misuse him.
Why trade for one? We have a good one on the bench and he's free to get and cheap.
