This is exactly it. Dana Brown also has a lot more authority and pull than Click ever did.

You have more inside knowledge to actually opine on this 2015, but it seems to me like Jake is the one the team sees the most potential in.
Maybe it really is as simple as they didn't work well together.
This is where I am on Click. Was happy with him as I saw his job was to keep the train rolling.Farmer1906 said:texasaggie2015 said:I can confirm this is 100% accurate. Just commenting on Click's performance…
Based on outcome and moves alone Click did a good job. Click won a WS, got to another WS, and got to another ALCS. The only bad deal he made was short term and clearly didn't impact the final product. All trades look to be won or at least didn't lose much. Click was a good GM. No way around it. He didn't bring a franchise back from the dead but he wasn't asked to. He kept the training moving on time with plenty of track ahead.
I have wanted Realmuto for years, but I agree. We just need to play The Yainer more and bring in players at positions where we don't have studs waiting & ready to produce.texasaggie2015 said:
Don't think it makes much sense to give up assets for either one of those catchers
A whole host of #BlueJays roster moves just now, most notably that Alek Manoah has been optioned to the Florida Complex League

You could argue the reason they won the WS in 2019 was because of the moves they made at the deadline.

Which is why I'm excited to see Dana at the deadline.
I imagine Crane told Click to be aggressive and all he got back in return was 'Well let me run the numbers and get with some folks and see if it makes sense'.
Here we are today and I imagine Dana responding with 'Yeah for sure. I'm on it and I'm gonna make it happen'.
Should be interesting
I get it. We've been to 4 World Series in 7 years. It's easy to get them mixed up when all you do is play in big series after big series for almost a decade.texasaggie2015 said:
Yeah, I meant 2021. I try to forget those series. It's just one big nightmare.
No idea, but I doubt TOR is looking to sell low.Ag_07 said:
Is he fixable? He's still under team control for another 3 years IIRC
I imagine he's so cheap that TOR has no motivation to trade him (especially trading him low) and would just as well keep him.
Tuesday in Toronto.

Congrats on 4 hits yainer. Enjoy the bench. Still no altuve.
So far it's been 71% / 24% / 6%.linkdude said:
The absolute best we'll get this year is a 50/50, 60/40 timeshare at catcher. If he keeps up the slugging, hopefully teams don't completely stop throwing him fastballs, he should get the lion share next year (with Lee as backup?)
