Diaz - C, 1st, LF
Dubon - everywhere but catcher and 1st for now
Chas - any OF spot

speaking of contracts...

right now the combination of Brantley + McCullers + J.Abreu + Montero = $58 MM

it's hurting that none of these guys are contributing at this point in the season

It's even more worrisome that $46mm of that is on the books for two more years after this one.

It's just a mild forearm strain.

It's a small setback.

It's shoulder discomfort.

He's a great hitter and he will figure it out. Just give it a couple of weeks. He's the first one in the cage every day.

I haven't seen an update since he was supposed to throw live BP to back to throwing on flat ground. Then Dana said ASB.

I don't consider being able to play every OF spot position flexibility. Any CF should be able to do that. I don't have any advanced stats on Julks at 3B but in AAA he had a .912 fielding %. That's pretty awful.

Didnt Abreu have a pretty good spring training?

After smacking more dongs than a Rangers fan over the last 10 years I can't believe this power just disappeared overnight & you have to think it's more mental than physical. I think he needs a shrink.

Either that or he stopped taking steroids. Even if he's really 40 you don't just lose all of your power overnight

Julks' bat / hands / swing / everything was so much quicker

It's odd because he still has the power-hitter's grip on the bat, with the pinky around/under the knob at the bottom. You think he'd have a Bregman choke job by now.

I wouldn't doubt McCullers is forced to retire after three years if he doesn't post at least 350 ip during that time frame.

I really don't understand his contract at all, it was $5,000,000 a season too high for a guy with his question marks. and we can't blame Bagwell for it.

I really wish Dusty would get over his weird fascination with not putting someone really good in the 2 hole. I promise it's okay to bat Yordan or Tucker there.

I think it's time to send Diaz down. Lee has 279.2 innings behind the dish & 178 plate appearances. Diaz has 97 innings behind the dish & 61 PA. You can only learn so much watching. Dusty clearly doesn't value his bat. Let's not waste a year of service time getting splinters in his ass.
