Yeah, because a three inch low cutter IS STILL A ****ING BALL!!!
The ESPN play-by-play showed it as a slider inside the strike zone.

Especially when, as you say, he does not get the benefit of the doubt and he just got rung up on a similar pitch I think it's a pitch you got to swing at.

Tonight was just Alvarez and Tucker. I did take Paul Goldschmidt -380 for no Homerun. I love Goldy but he's been tentative lately

Didn't Morgan Ensberg fit that Name that Astro better than Lane? Went to USC, more of a monster year in 2005 and traded to the Padres.

Yeah that's about what it looked like on TV. An inch outside the strike zone. And I think there's a big difference between being a good hitter that gets the benefit of the doubt on that call and being a guy who struggles to hit .200 & gets rung up a lot of that call.

We're on the same side obviously as far as we want him get good calls… but you're the one that brought up the fact that he gets screwed a lot and that being the case, that's a pitch he needs to swing at with 2 strikes.
