Same thought I had. With current roster that's as good as it gets aside from one persons position and one substitution

Without looking at any article, I'll go out on a limb and say that this line is in the bottom 3 of all time of any player in MLB who played the majority of the season at cleanup.

it's surprising how quickly Dusty has moved on from Dubon
Who should sit so Dubon can play? He has not played 1B, at least not at the MLB level, so unless he has been taking reps there that really isn't an option as much as we might all like it to be.

No… I would like to keep Dubon with plate appearances and one of those options would be to occasionally give Peña an off day on the field and have him play SS. Same for Bregman, LF, and CF.
I'm not lobbying for him to start over any of them just that he can rotate in as a true utility guy while conforming to Dusty's philosophy on resting guys

How about 2018 Todd Frazier is up there. 35 games at cleanup, 39 at 5, never better lower than 6th. .488 OPS. Not the majority at cleanup but close.

I expected Dubon to start at DH in one of the games vs. the A's
and/or maybe get an outfield start.

Julks has been a nice surprise, but Dubon has been better at the plate and in the field & I'd rather see him get those reps.

I'm shocked this doesn't look worse. I expected a complete crap show and it wasn't as bad for called strike accuracy as the idiot who did the Ranger game a few days ago. Granted it's still way below league average.
As always, the robo-ump can't get here soon enough.

I think there is probably a little margin on these around the edges, as they never seem as bad as when watching the game. Also, whenever there is an egregious one called against Alvarez as there was yesterday, it seems to sting a bit more.Prosperdick said:Umpire: Mark Carlson
