It's obvious he was looking for a signal, which must have been relayed from someone (dugout or on deck or whatever). No doubt he new what was coming.

But the thing is - there are legal ways to pick up ok ripped pitches, and there are illegal methods. We have no evidence whatsoever as to how the pitch was known.

Don't worry! I'm confident MLB will investigate thoroughly and find out.

I say we pass judgment now and then ask questions later.

Aaron Judge said he was trying to identify which of his teammates was yelling at plate umpire Clint Vondrak when he peered at his own dugout before hitting a 462-foot home run in the New York Yankees' 7-4 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday night.

Judge may have been checking the first baseman's defensive alignment (Belt has a pitchcom as well) as an indication as to what pitch was coming.

Alot of the initial stuff I've seen is saying he didn't use electronic devices so he did nothing illegal. Interesting they can make that conclusion when there has been exactly zero investigation. You know, the kind of investigation where players are all given immunity, over 70 team employees are interviewed, and the results are released to the public.

I think Jays tipping in one form or fashion is the most logical explanation, and it's not illegal to point out tipped signs. But that "chirping" explanation is hilariously not it. Then again, you're not going to just say out loud that you know the other team's tips when you're still playing them.

Maybe Judge will call himself out and say he didn't deserve his own MVP last year because of the cheating and rampant use of ManfredBalls thrown to him.

Maybe. Wishful thinking.

Judge did the sideways glance in more than one at-bat

chirping had nothing to do with it

edit...may have been earlier in the same at-bat

Chances Judge gets drilled tomorrow?
Manfred would probably hand out a lifetime ban if Judge got intentionally drilled.

I'm sure the crew will issue warnings before the first pitch to protect the fragile ribs of the superstar.

Bob Gibson would have thrown at those ribs so hard he would leave seam marks on the skin.

I assume Altuve is playing for the Hooks now because since they're at home in Corpus this week and the Space Cowboys are in OKC?

He told us where he was looking, now we just need to determine what was going on in the dugout.

There is a YouTuber who normally does nice breakdowns of these situations, just waiting for his analysis

We were hoping to go see him tonight here. Oh well. It's "Bark in the Park," so we will get to take the pup.

Yeah, because there's no way someone in the dugout was using electronic devices to steal a sign then relaying it to the 1B coach, who then relayed it to Judge. Simply couldn't happen could it? I guess I'll wait for Jomboy's breakdown.

Not the first time Judge was looking at something questionable in the dugout

For Sunday's win and last night's too.

Finally came out of the penalty box for the umpire scorecard that rattled the Arlington thin skins. I use the term penalty box because they're all now huge Stars fans and always have been.

My thought was to get the fans an extra chance to see him. That will significantly increase ticket sales for those games

Because Corpus isnt really any closer than OKC

I think just as simple as they're not gonna make Altuve travel with a AAA team.

I'm sure they don't travel with the best accommodations so why not do the GOAT a solid and just send him to CC for few games instead of experiencing the grind of minor league road trips.

I don't know why everyone is making a big deal of Altuve in Corpus

It's clearly for location reasons only

AA probably has better talent anyways

Yup...they must have thrown a fit. What's funny is I didn't post any commentary, just the umpire scorecard that showed they got almost a full run.

We all ***** about the umpires and sometimes we only see it our way, it's human nature. Of course with the aggregated rankings we know we're getting the short end of the stick worse than 28 other teams (only one team gets it worse than we do, can't remember who). I was simply showing them they didn't get screwed like they thought they did. Oh the horror!

Anyway, lesson learned. I'll never post on their stupid thread again.

If you ask the man himself, he said he's getting demoted for his poor play.
