The A's found something in Rooker. Hope with the new stadium they can keep him around for awhile. It's easier to find the diamond in the rough when your entire lineup is a bunch of young guys or fliers. Surely one of nine will work out.

This ump has the worst strike zone I've ever seen. It's horrible and it's inconsistent. The ump before the last game had a terrible strike zone but he was at least consistent

Looks like I ticked off the rangerettes...I happened to check on their thread from last night and of course they claim the umpire completely screwed them so I just checked the umpire rating...almost a full run in their favor, so I posted it without any commentary.
If only those dip****s knew how bad we get consistently screwed by the umpire (as well as NY) with receipts to back it up...oh well.
Also I ticked them off so bad they're accusing me of bringing down the Aggies...delusional doesn't being to describe them.

I was watching the A's broadcast and they even talked about it a little (the missed strike call).
I didn't think it was that bad of a call. The way the catcher caught it, swiping it down into the ground, I doubt that gets called a strike by very many if any umps.

We are 2nd in ERA, 3rd in runs allowed, 4th in strikeouts. The pitching can improve, but it's already excellent. We are also 4th in fielding percentage.
Most offensive metrics we are in the teens or 20's - and that is the problem

So what does the fact that JJ isn't on the 40 man roster mean? To bring him up could they just bump someone else off the roster? How does that work?
I know he didn't do very well in his chance with the Astros last year but he did hit .209 vs .208 for Dubon. Young players will sometimes improve, guys Abreu's age not so much.
