I'm convinced Cintron does absolutely nothing but defers to what the player think he needs to do to improve, and I'll need some hard evidence to be persuaded to think otherwise.

We just don't have much to work with in terms of knowing what their (hitting) preparation is... Abreu seems to be doing his own thing, to no effect so far

Well it's known he tweaked Yordan's swing prior to his WS winning bomb so...Yeah.

The Cintron hate has always been odd.

Also he's not the only hitting coach. Why no hate against Snitker?

Agree. Coaches can only do so much.

AJ & Strom for as good as they are couldn't do isht with the trash squads they moved on to. Cintron cant turn Dubon and Julks into Jose & Mike.

I think it's mainly because they just moved him from First Base coach to Hitting Coach without much of an explanation.

In the article someone posted on Abreu, Cintron was quoted and essentially he and Abreu have a disagreement on the main issue. Cintron can't force a player, especially an established vet, to do what he wants then to do.

You've got to put some on the player too.
