I mean, you're essentially down 4 offensive players to start the season. Altuve, Uncle Mike, Bregman slow start, Abreu doing what he's doing.

I wonder what metric/status they have on Stanek that makes him choking in high leverage situations way more likely which kept him out of the playoffs? Heart Rate triples? Hands start shaking uncontrollably? Dude just poops his big boy pants

I know I'm way late to this question, but...

Abreu's last 3 years OPS+ average (not counting covid 2020) was 124. It's currently sitting at 48.

As a comparison, and I know it's probably not a great one, when Josh Reddick really started to fall off in Houston, his OPS+ went from 97 in '18, to 89, 89, and 76 in Arizona.

I am reaching the point that I will be pretty surprised to see Abreu get it much above 100.



A final thought: 2017 Reddick had an OPS+ of 130, the highest in his career.

Problem is none of those guys get Bregman, Abreu, or Maldonado out of the lineup.
