Yep, I too would give serious consideration to IBB in leverage situations a la Barry in his prime.

I can't believe pitchers are giving him anything to hit...I hope it continues!

So Yordan is hitting something like .450 against lefties so far this season. That's insane.

When will managers stop bringing in a lefty to face him?

It just proves how there are still so many old school managers in the bigs. Also, they feel like they HAVE to make a move to show how managerial they are. Sadly we have one of the oldest old school managers around. But he did win it all last year so I'm trying to be nice.

Two of three would be fantastic. Think this sweep bought some wiggle room. Rangers will run out of A's and Reds to play soon.

I think they're done with their season series with KC, too. There's 5 of their wins.

Would temper expectations at TB this week. Just feels like trap/letdown bound to happen.

Wow. Who would have guess this team would have suddenly started winning after a slow start.

Astros in April is like the Dread Pirate Robert's fighting Inigo Montoya atop the cliffs. All the other AL West teams think they are better, but then the Astros come out and say,

"Oh, there's something I ought to tell you.

AL West: Tell us.

Astros: I'm not left-handed either."

Old man Dusty saw nothing wrong with Maldy's bunt. Throws Meyers completely under the bus. Admitedly, it wasn't a good read, but it was a God awful attempt at a sacrifice bunt.

Obligatory: Chandler is a chode.

Tampa is 19-3… I'm not really sure how that's a trap series.

It's so hard to root for Dusty when he gives such unique opinions.

If they were unique but on the leading edge or very analytical then I could get behind it… but when they are unique and just wrong, well yeah that's hard to support

I was trying to be nice and that's the best word I could come up with. Because I like Dusty. But also cannot stand him.

Got home from the game an hour ago. Great comeback win. Battery area is very nice, stadium is nice, for a new stadium thought the concourses were narrow. Fans were fine, no issues, no booing, no yelling at team or my family when we cheered. In the 8th, man behind us was telling his wife they shouldn't pitch to Yordon and just walk in the run. She couldn't comprehend why. After the single he said, "that's why." Love having "that guy" on the Astros!

I generally can't stand him but can't deny he was money all 2022 playoffs so I'm not too vocal

Yeah I think realistically my expectation is to just not get swept in Tampa. I can't expect us to win that series.

Win 2 and the series and that's great. Carry that momentum forward and keep going. Win 3 and that just sets us up to go full steam ahead and assert our dominance.

Not the poster, but we have traditionally played poorly at the Trop for some reason, paired with the fact that they've been ridiculous this season. That said, we did sweep them there last year, so hopefully that's a sign we've finally gotten past whatever funk it was in that stupid dome.

Going 1/3 against TB and then winning 2/3 against Philly would be okay. Especially after the sweep

That would make it a 6-3 stretch over three LCS caliber teams.

We should have Framber, CJ and Urquidy going against Philly, right? I Ike that.

If machete has an unforgivable sin, it's that he's a terrible bunter. You simply can not be that awful a hitter and be incapable of putting in the time to develop that particular skill.

Don't care what the numbers say. Yordon had a 3 WAR for this series. And it is so awesome to see how julks and dubon and Jake are all playing. Championship culture and the young guys are stepping into it.

Atlanta's bullpen doesn't struggle and series could've been 1-2 easily.

Last week the board pretty much had written this season off, now it's heresy to suggest a struggle against the best home team so far in the league this season.

It's April, so whatever happens happens but the mood swings here are worse than a teenage girl.

Yordan made their bullpen pay (and not even really only on bad pitches). We won those games, coulda, shoulda, woulda for the Braves. As it is, it is 3-0 and a clean sweep in ATL.

And the "Why?" was in reference to you calling it a trap. A trap is a game or series you overlook. No one is overlooking a 19-3 baseball team. No one is saying we're going to go steamroll the Rays.

Or you calling it a "let down" and having an Eeyore "let's keep it real" moment in the wake of a series sweep of a top 3 team in baseball. Now if we go get swept, that's a let down. But 1-2 isn't.

did the broadcast talk about the Astros' club record for RBI in a month?

the record might be 29 by Bagwell in July 1994

Yordan could set a new mark in April
