I've been to two games this year. They were night games but it was hot at both. The first we were in the upper deck which is normal but the second we were in the first deck and it was hot.

It was really warm in the upper deck seats for the Saturday Reds matinee in June. Concourse was much cooler though.

Guys sit more and batting averages are lower. The active hits leader under age 30 is Lindor at 1240.


He was the last current player that had a shot. Covid and injuries have cost him almost 2 prime seasons now. Call it 300 hits. That's massive and I just don't see how he makes it up. It's like 3 seasons of old guy.

Looked up a couple of quick stats. Astros are 2nd in baseball in swinging at the first pitch and, not coincidentally, 28th in total pitches per plate appearance.

It's a simple plan- keep swinging until you knock a guy out.
I love Texas Aggie sports, but I love Texas A&M more.
