...but Dusty just subbed Jake into LF directly for Julks...so the pitcher's spot stayed in the 9-hole

and thus Kessinger pinch hit to begin the 10th

Beautiful.

Team can't hit, can't execute, can't find any fire, and can't overcome its braindead managing. Everyone has injuries. This is team-wide. It's the gold glove SS suddenly forgetting how to play defense. It's the all-star RF barely seeming to care most of the time. It's your HOF 2B coming up in a big pinch hit situation and quickly striking out. It's something so bad about how they hit situationally and are managed strategically that they're literally winless in extras.

Do we really want to get rid of half the decent prospects we have for one bat and one pitcher that won't be able to fix all this on their own?
