Why is Julks in?

Where is Diaz?

Julks is rocking wRC+ of 14 for the month of May. After tonight, he'll more than double Diaz in May plate appearances. Why is Dusty so committed to him when there is a good shot he's the next guy going down.

This has nothing to do with progress or Dusty coming around to moving Abreu down.

The Brewers have 1 lefty on staff so that means Dusty rolls with Yordan/Tucker back to back.

Still doesn't compute with me but Dusty has said that's what he'll do in that situation and that's what he's doing.

Speaking of L/R, brew crew has 4 lefties in the lineup vs Javier. I think that is their normal roster construction, but that makes things a little tough of Javier who historically owns righties.

That's what I figured...I was going to check their bullpen construction so thanks for doing the legwork. We could score 15 runs each game this series and Abreu earns a platinum sombrero in each but next series we play a team with multiple lefties, back to cleanup he goes.

They normally do a ton of platooning and I'm somewhat surprised to see Miller in the lineup. Garrett Mitchell getting hurt took that option away in center, as well.

Good test for Javi. Wonder if he'll use his third pitch a little more than usual.

No need to dance around it...Dusty has been very vocal about his frustration of lack of Black players in the big leagues and I'm WAY more OK with him giving Julks every opportunity to succeed than Abreu in the 4 hole.

One is born out a noble desire and the other is just plain ****ing stupid.

ETA - at some point however, if Julks doesn't reward Dusty's faith he needs to sit. I'm just way more OK with that towards the bottom of the lineup than what he's doing with Jose.

I fully expect we will see Dubon rotate 2B, SS, 3B and an OF spot to give each player a day off once a week. You can do that and he gets 4 games out of 6 to play.

We really need our bats to wake up this series as I have a feeling teams have figured out France and he'll need to make an adjustment. It's likely the same with Julks...once the book is out on you if you don't adjust they will attack you until you do.

I thought he was 38. He's 36 but still. Looking at his career stats, he's really fallen off a cliff this season.
