Just got home from the ballpark. Great for the 'Stros to get the win. It was 7+ innings of offensive frustration with a lot of bad at bats and then some clutch performance from the bottom of the lineup

I'll take it all day every day. Would be less stressful if we just came out and dominated but that doesn't appear in the cards for this team on a regular basis

Javi was getting a lot of swing and miss. That was great to see

Currently 46-106
If you gave them 1.5 runs for every run they've scored this year, their record would still be 60-92.

I think you are right, except for that number is tricky. If we win 6 games, we are guaranteed in. Normally, the magic number reduces when other teams lose, but this magic number of 6 does not decrease when the Rangers/Mariners lose in their series (until if/when one of those teams loses for the 5th time against each other). That number is already factoring in one of those teams losing 4 because it has to happen.

All I am rooting for this weekend is for the Astros to win. At this point, I don't know whether I want one of those 2 teams to win every game of their 7 or whether I'd prefer a 4-3 split.
that's a good point. It's not a typical magic number situation

Just watched the replay. Looks like Pressley was still tipping but much much more subtly. Interesting he came out throwing almost nothing but fastballs, probably to see if they picked up on it.

he went on the IL today -- expected to return for the playoffs

Correa finishes the regular season with 135 games played -- missed 27 games

surprisingly though...his 135 leads all Twins players in games played

season OPS .711 and OPS+ of 94 with 30 GiDP's
